MESSINA – a traditional banker’s lamp with a green shade and a shiny brass fitting.
Banker lamps are coveted, iconic items that are known from many American films of the past decades. They started in the 1920s and 1930s and were used in office buildings, law offices, courts and banks. Most often they had a brass mount and an oblong, green lampshade, as in the case of the MESSINA table lamp. The light that fills the surroundings is not very bright, but strong is directed downwards on the illuminated surface of the table, as it is needed for reading and writing.
